Sun Gurad: Sunplay Powdery White Sunblock Lotion

Ever since I've learned the importance of sunblock, I've never turned my back on it anymore. It's on my top three must-have after cleanser and moisturizer. That's how important it is to me. Though I've found my HG sunblock, the curiosity in me still sway me to try other brands. One brand I tried is the Sunplay sunblock which is locally available at Watsons. Can it be my new HG sunblock?

Sunplay Powdery White Sunblock Lotion
    • High and effective protection against UVA nad UVB
    • Japan "Watery Liquid" formulation is non-greasy, light and smooth on skin
    • Japan whitening formulation, regular use helps lighten dark spots and enhance skin fairness
    • Vitamin C and E to promote skin health and prevent premature aging
    • water-proof
    • non-comedogenic (does not clog pore)
    • Suitable for daily use on face and body
My say:
Performance: 3/5 stars
Packaging: 4/5 stars
Pricing: 4/5 stars

This will not replace my current HG sunblock. I've brought this with me on my Bohol trip. Sad to say, this is not good for the high-sun trip. I did not feel that I was well protected enough. Good thing I brought 3 (including this) sunblocks with me at that time. I'll review the two soon :) This is a good sunblock to use if you will not be out in the sun the whole day. I've been using this for two-months prior to my Bohol trip. It did help in giving me sun protection. But then I was at work the whole day confine in my little cubicle. Definitely this not something you want to bring if you'll be under the sun the whole time. I noticed that my skin got one or two shade darker. Compare to my Bora trip last year, I did not get dark at all. Perhaps my skin got one shade darker but nobody noticed it. Unlike on this trip, people knew then that I went to the beach. It also does leave a white cast after using it. It also makes my skin look greasy even though its watery and thin in texture. It says that it can be a make up base, but not to me :( Good thing I didn't broke out nor gave me any allergies :) I cannot really attest to its whitening properties because I've been using a whitening cream at that time. Perhaps it did help since I got lighter skin fast :) The packaging do remind me of Biore sunblock. This is really small which really fits in my little purse. I bought this over at Watsons for Php349. There is no way for me to buy this. I am now skeptical to try the other variant of Sunplay available at Watsons. However, I'm currently using one from Missha. Of course, I'll review it to you guys soon.

Have a nice day :)

Sun Guard: Belo Essential Sun Expert Sunblock for the Face

Sunblock is a must in my daily life. I've been a sunblock user ever since I started working. I've been more vain after college. Maybe it's because I am getting old and that means aging. I'm 26 so I'm in my mid-20s. It's now time to prepare myself from the so-called aging life. One factor to combat aging is a reliable sunblock. I have already met my HG sunblock but it's also fun to try other brand. One brand that caught my eyes is the Belo Essential Sun Expert Sunblock.

Belo Essential Sun Expert Sunblock for Face SPF 40PA+++
  • Non-sticky
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Cell-protect
  • Non-Comedogenic

My say:
Performance: 4/5 stars
Packaging: 4/5 stars
Pricing: 4/5 stars

Belo Essential is a local brand created by Intelligent Skin Care Incorporated, an affiliate of the Belo Medical Group. Their products are for masses or commercial consumers who are looking for cheaper yet somehow effective or reliable products such as skin whitening and among others. I have used their whitening lotion and soap before but they end up giving me drier skin :(  Though my aunt loves it, so it really depends on our skin condition. FYI, my skin (except my face) is normal. However, I like their facial sunblock. It has high SPF of 40PA+++ means better protection :) It has a white-thin, yet not that watery, texture and feels light on the skin. It doesn't give any white cast because it blends well on the skin. No irritations nor allergies :) The only downside is that it can leave a bit of greasy look. It's okay since I have my reliable powder to keep me shine-free :) The packaging is really nice since it's in an upside-down type. So that means the product will easily come out upon using since most of the product is near the tip already :) The biggest factor that made me buy this is the price. I bought this for less than Php 300 (I'm not sure if it is 259 or 299) at Watsons and very much available everywhere. This is the cheapest sunblock I bought so far. This may be cheap, but performs well :)

Have you found your HG Sunblock? Might as well try this product who knows this is the one.

Sun Guard: Biore Perfect Face Milk

Finally I'm able to update my blog :) It was hell this past weeks as a storm hit the country plus the tight schedule work I have. But then that is past so I need to move on and be thankful to God that I'm still surviving and updating my blog (hehehe!).

Rainy season is here. No more sun or should I say there will be less sun. Of course the sun doesn't leave us rather we just rotate around it (elementary science, remember?!? hehehe). Does this mean sun rays ain't that harsh anymore? So is it okay not to wear sunblock anymore? Simple answer, NO! and NO! No matter what there will always be the sun. It's rays will always be harmful to us that is why a good sun defense is needed for the rest of our lives. And sunblock will always be the best weapon against it :) My current favorite sunblock is Biore Perfect Milk Face SPF 50PA+++.

Biore Perfect Face Milk SPF 50 PA+++

My say:
Performance: 5/5 stars
Pricing: 4/5 stars
Packaging: 4.5/stars

I love this sunblock so much that I bought a back up right away which I ended up giving to my sister :( But I'll buy again soon since this is available locally but only through online shops. This is best for oily skin babes like me. It doesn't leave any greasy feel nor greasy look. It has a watery texture and in color white yet no white cast since it blends well with the skin. It is a good make-up base since it gives a matte finish. Perfect if you're in hurry because it acts as two products in one (sunblock and primer/make-up base). There is an alcohol scent to it but very light and bearable. No break out for me! I bought this for Php550 at TLC shop through a pre-order but you can buy this readily at wehaveit43 with the same price. I believe this is much cheaper if bought directly from Japan. The price is not a big issue to me since it works very well :) I like the packaging since it fits in my bag perfectly. It is small and quite slim which fits also in my purse :)  I only wish that it comes in a transparent container so that at least I would know if I am running out of it.

No matter if it is raining or sunny or your at home away from the sun, you still need to arm yourself with sunblock. Even the lights at our homes can harm our poor skin. So make it a habit to put on sunblock into your daily life :)

Have a wonderful weekend ahead :)

Sun Guard: Biore Perfect Milk Sunblock SPF 50 PA+++

I've been MIA for awhile because I had just my three-days vacation to one of the fantastic and most sought-after vacation destination in the country. It's none other than the beautiful Boracay :) It was my first time to visit this wonderful island and it's been almost three years since I have been to the beach. It was so serene and I just can't stop smiling when I got there. I was so excited days before it that I 101% prepared for it. I planned every thing that I will do in the island and the stuff that I needed to bring. On top of my list is an effective and reliable sunblock. I want something that is not greasy, easy to apply, can be carried  around, high spf (of course!), and comes in good price. I searched over the web for some reviews on sunblocks. Read thoughts of gtalkers on the best sunblock to bring to the beach. There were a lot of suggestions that you'll end up still confused what to bring. Then I looked on to my beauty arsenal and saw my current favorite (and HG) sunblock, Biore. That made me realized that they do have one for the face and body and is waterproof! Yes, I ended up buying the Biore Perfect Face Milk SPF 50PA+++ sunblock.

Totally effective! I am so happy I bought this :) This is the perfect (so far) sunblock to use if your heading to the beach. It has a thin, liquid-type texture and it is easy to apply then. It doesn't have that strong sunblock scent. It doesn't leave any white cast even though I have apply a lot on my face. It doesn't give any greasy look nor greasy feeling. This is waterproof and had a staggering SPF 50! This is definitely great to use on the beach since we need higher SPF if you're in the beach. This help me not get any sunburn :) My skin didn't got that too dark. I just got one shade darker than my usual color. But no one really notice that color change. I like the packaging of this product. It is easy to carry on because it is quite slim and a bit smaller which fits exactly to my small water case/bag. I am very happy I bought this. I bought this at wehaveit43 store which is located at Quezon City for Php 550. I'm sure this is a lot cheaper if bought in Japan. But then again considering the shipping fee and the customs checking, I think it is price reasonably. I have used this for my whole stay at the beach (3 days). I reapply every after 2-3 hours or after I swim. I consume at least 70% of it :) I would definitely buy this again once I go back to the beach :)

Have you found your favorite beach sunblock? You might want to try this :)

Skin Guard: Etude House Glow Base Sun Guard SPF 36

Monday means flag ceremony (when you are working in a government agency) under the heat of the sun. I know it's early and the sun is not that harmful but then again it's the sun. One thing to use to at least fight it is a sunblock. Sunblock had been stapled in my beauty arsenal ever since I learned the importance of it. Anti-aging is one of those benefits we can get from using it rigorously. I'm in my mid-20's and yes I'm getting old. Prevention is better than cure ;) So to fight anti-aging early on is better than going through knife and spend much for it (you know what I mean, hehehe). I have used different sunblocks and one of it is the Etude House Glow Base Sun Guard SPF36.

  • House Protection from the Sun
  • Makeup base sun cream with SPF36/PA++

My say:
Performance: 3.5/5 stars
Packaging: 4/5 stars
Price: 4/5 stars

A make-up base yet a sunblock ;) It has a pink shade and blend wells. The pink shade gives that glow on your skin. It doesn't leave any white cast but I don't find it a good make-up base since it gives me that a bit of greasy look after. There is a bit of sparkle or shine upon application. I think this is the one that make me look greasy. I often used this at home since I rely on my bb cream with higher spf when I go out. It comes in a plastic pink tube and it is easy to carry along :) I bought this at a reasonable price around Php 300 I think from the local Etude House here. Overall I'm not buying it since I've fallen in love with Biore <3 I gave it to my sister and she seems to be happy with it ;)

Monday is not a favorite day of mine (perhaps for some also) since it means work again :-& Hoping for a less stress (or perhaps stress-free) day to us :) Take care!

Summer Guard: Neutrogena Sunblocks

The heat is killing me! I love summer but the heat lately is not. I could barely go out the house or office to enjoy the sun. This is too much heat for summer :(  It could even reach 40 degrees Celsius according to PAG-ASA. Well, I hope not. Anyway, in times that I need to go out and face the sun, I need to put on my armor in defending my skin against the scorching sun. The best weapon I have is sunblock :). High SPF sunblocks are needed with the kind of heat we have lately. Here is my review on Neutrogena Sunblocks that I have used.

www.drugstore.com

  • Water-proof
  • Sweat-proof
  • PABA-free
  • Non-comedogenic
My say:
Performance: 4/5 stars
Packaging: 5/5 stars
Pricing: 4/5 stars

I like this sunblock. It didn't made my skin darker when we had our outing last February. I used this both on my face and body. I forgot to bring my facial sunblock so I have no choice but use this on my face also. This has thicker texture. Easy to blend, no white cast after. However when used on the face it made it look greasy and darker upon applying it. But I didn't gave the heck about it then since I'm jumping in the pool anyway ;) I don't think this is best to use on the face. With the price, it is sold at Php 500 ++. I think it's better to get this on sale for a great deal and I think I got this on sale ;p Over all, I like this but I don't know if I would like to bring this on my Bora trip this coming June. I read that this is best to use if you have any plan of getting tan. I don't plan to get tanned but one shade darker than my skin color now is okay.

My say:
Performance: 3/5 stars
Packaging: 5/5 stars
Price: 4/5 stars

I wasn't happy using this sunblock. I don't really feel that I'm well protected from the sun. I feel my skin to be quite irritated from it. It leaves a greasy feel even though it says water and light. I gave this to my sister and she liked it. Good for her but bad for me :( The packaging is great. Small and convenient to bring along:) The price is okay but again wait for sale since it always go on sale :) I'm not buying this again. I'm currently using the  Etude House Sun Guard and waiting for my Biore Sunblock which is rave by a lot.I'll review on these soon.

Protection is a must in every aspect of our life. Even though our skin protects our inner body, it still needs protection from our harmful environment. I never grew up using sun block. Thanks to lovely  and dashing bloggers who shared lots of information on the importance of sunblock. Now even I'm home I still use sunblock to protect me because that is how important it is ;)

Do you use sunblock rigorously? I hope so ;) Take care <3 <3 <3
