Baviphat Trouble Catch Powder

I had no idea why Baviphat named this product like that. Trouble Catch... What trouble are they trying to catch? Weird name indeed but the product has no weirdness in it.

Baviphat Trouble Catch Powder (No. 2)

Skin-purifying powder specially formulated for sensitive or blemished and acne prone skin. Aloe soothes and nurtures skin, minimizing skin irritations and reducing acne inflammation. Non-comedogenic formula will not clog pores, to reveal naturally clear and glowing skin.

My say:
Performance: 4/5 stars
Packaging: 4/5 stars
Pricing: 4/5 stars

Great product! A great powder for oily skin. Though it doesn't give an all-day oil-free skin, at least it doesn't make me too greasy looking at the end of the day. A re-touch is enough to be shine-free all day. I got the No.2 shade which is perfect for my skin-type. They got only two-colors and both are not really a good shade for morena Filipina. This is okay for light, fair or medium skin tone because it only had limited shade for light-color individuals. I love the packaging because it looks sophisticated for it. It's all made of plastic but the top cover is good enough to act like a mirror. I got this for less than php500 from my suki. I tried get a new one but this is always out-of-stock :( I hope it will be available very soon.

Happy Love Month :)

Missha The Style Art Designing Sponge Pressed Powder

Its not everyday that matte and oil-free skin comes my way. A powder is needed to achieve this. I have used a lot of powders to help me combat the oiliness. One powder that help me is the Missha The Style Art Designing Powder.

Missha The Style Art Designing Sponge Pressed Powder (No.2)

Containing porous & sebum control powder, this pressed powder prevents sebum secretion & oiliness on the skin after application for all day cover.

My say:
Performance: 5/5 stars
Packaging: 5/5 stars
Pricing: 3/5 stars

Great powder! I love this powder :) As a matter of fact, I just hit the pan for the second time. This help in minimizing the greasiness of my skin. However, it won't lasts the whole day with just this powder. No powder has able to last the whole day. No breakouts nor itchiness :) The powder is very light in terms of texture. You wouldn't really notice it. It reminds me of the Skin Food Green Grape Pact. There is no noticeable scent. It doesn't cake up nor make my skin pale. No.2 or Natural Beige is just the right color for me. I like the packaging because its hygienic enough since there is a separator between the powder and the puff :) It's in color pink, very girly. What's good with this product is that you can buy refills rather than buying a new one. At least you save Mother Earth there :) I think I bought this on sale from my suki for around Php500++. I also bought the refill from her, still on sale, for around Php300++. Definitely, I'll buy this again but I think I'll get again the refill since the pact is still good and sturdy. But I have to wait for Missha Winter Sale next month to get the product at a lower price :)

How was the month of November to everybody? It was a pretty busy month for me. Sorry for the very late update on my blog. Hopefully this will continue since there are a lot of products I wanted to share.

Take care guys :)

Nature Republic Eau de Shine Blossom Powder Pact SPF 25 PA++

Powder is essential for an oily babe. It helps reduce the oiliness of the skin plus gives that smooth, clean finish. It also provides a fresh look and feel. However, not all powders can do this. Finding the right one that you can call as HOLY GRAIL is not that easy. I had some powders which works wonders while some were a disappointment. How would I rate the Nature Republic Eau de Shine Powder?

Nature Republic Eau de Shine Blossom Powder Pact #21
- a long-lasting, oil-free matte powder foundation -

My say:
Performance: 2/5 stars
Pricing: 2/5 stars
Packaging: 3/5 stars

This is not the first powder I tried from this brand. Sad to say, both were a disappointment. No matte finish at all. This is a terrible powder. However, it didn't gave me any allergies plus it comes with an SPF 25 :) At least I got some sun protection. I think they have a new packaging for this. I'm not quite sure if this is still available since I can't find it in their site. But I'm not gonna buy this again. The packaging is cute but its hard to look for a back up puff for this since we don't have (yet) a Nature Republic store here. I bought this on sale for Php 575 at again my suki

How's the first day of the week?!? Keep the positive vibes coming :)

Innisfree Herb No Sebum Powder - Mint

Loose powder or compact pressed one?!? I've always been a user of pressed powders. They are definitely easy to carry and handle around. No messing around for me :) However, lately I've opened my heart (?!?hehehe) for those loose ones. One product that I had been admiring is the Innisfree Herb No Sebum Powder - Mint.

Innisfree Herb No Sebum Powder - Mint

a talc-based compact powder made from herbs effectively controls sebum and gives a minty, smooth feel

My say:
Performance: 4/5 stars
Packaging: 4/5 stars
Pricing: 3.5/5 stars

Loose powder could definitely be messy compared to the compact ones. Of course, we don't want any powder on our clothes, don't we?!? But there will always be an exception to those that makes a difference like this Innisfree powder. I love this tiny (only 5 gms) little powder :) It may be small but it's awesome! This a great powder for oily babes like me. Less greasy even after a couple of hours of use. Though it doesn't keep me shine-free the whole day, at least for half-day my skin is still less greasy :) I love the slight minty feel and scent which is kinda cool and aromatic. After all its in the name: Mint and Herb. There is only one shade which is white. So careful on using it or else you'll look like a geisha or worst, a clown (hehehe!). However, a little goes a long way. This powder comes in a small green-plastic-round container with puff inside. This is really small that I wish they'll have a bigger one with some color to choose from. But I don't mind with the white one ;) I bought this for only Php 365 at a pre-order spree from my suki. I think I have finished two of this before using another one. I might buy the new one which is No Sebum Mineral Powder instead of this. But will definitely in my list of favorites :)

Whatever forms powder may come, so long as its help in keeping me shine-free, will always have a place in my heart :) Enjoy!

Nature Republic Blemish Lab AC Powder

Powder is very important for an oily girl like me. It helps in keeping the skin matte and oil-free, at least half-the-day?!? Finding the right stuff is not that easy. I have used different brand of powder. Some satisfied me while others were a disappointment. But today  let me share to you my thoughts on the Nature Republic Blemish Lab Powder Pact.

Nature Republic Blemish Lab AC Powder Pact SPF 30 PA++

Shade #21
blemish therapy line formulated with a non-irritating, potent pending pure vegetable extracts and AC complex, which treats acne and soothe breakouts
My say:
Performance: 3.5/5 stars
Packaging: 4/5 stars
Pricing: 3/5 stars

I'm so disappointed with this product. This is a product I won't getting again. This didn't help much with the oiliness of my skin. After a couple of hours using my skin is oily again. I was expecting this to be a good powder since it caters to those with blemish skin like mine. I think they did not taken into consideration the oily issue. Good thing this didn't broke me out nor any skin allergies :) Plus this powder helps in keeping away harmful rays from the sun thanks to its SPF 30. A good protection when you are staying indoor. Otherwise, you shouldn't have to rely on this and forget your sunblock. This has a low sun protection. I really like the design of this pact. It's so cool yet very feminine. The only downside is the puff. It's so hard to find a puff for this powder since most powder pact available here are either in round or square shape. I think I bought this at around Php 700 staright from Korea through a pre-order from Charmaine. I'm not getting this again since it can't keep my skin matte or oil-free at least for 4-hours. There are better powder out there and ones that I have already tried. I have already a new powder from Nature Republic also with the same style of packaging. Will give my thoughts on it soon :)

Today is the last day of January 2011. God, time flies so fast! Enjoy :)

Shine Keeper: The Face Shop Span Matte Compact Powder

Wow tomorrow would be Friday! That means its the last day for the week. Time is flying so fast the next thing you know its weekend then its Monday again (hahaha!). This week is pretty stressful since deadlines were everywhere :( I don't want to think about it for awhile so let me immerse in this little home I have over at cyberspace :)

It's nice to be able to finish a product. You know that it did somehow work for you. In my case, I usually finish a product if it works fine with me like no breakout and a bit of improvement. I sometimes finish something just because I need to get the worth of my money (hahaha!). One product that I'm done with is The Face Shop Span Matte Compact Powder.

 my doggie-doggie likes it :)

The Face Shop Span Matte Compact Powder

  • Inspired by water drops this light-weight base makeup line is formulated with tropical fruits that prevents allergy and dryness.
  • Containing silicon this powder gives sheer natural looking coverage with high water retention. Skin looks clean and polished all day never cakey. Sheer to Medium coverage.

My say:
Performance: 5/5 stars
Packaging: 4/5 stars
Pricing: 4/5 stars

This is a good pact and I'm happy that I have tried this. It does its job in keeping my skin away from that ugly oiliness. It keeps shine-free up to 4 hours :) That is okay for me since I always do retouch every after 4 hours and it doesn't cake up. No break out for me :) Well I did break out when using this but I do not blame this pact since its totally hormonal issue. I got the number 21 shade and it perfectly fits my skin shade. Its very light that it gives a transparent color thus blending well with my skin :) I do like the design of the pact. Its comes in a petal-like pact case and it's in color pink! The only downside is the case that separates the puff from the powder. It comes with a plastic that wasn't built with the case. It can be inconvenient and less hygienic since you have to completely remove the case and there are tendency it could fall down on a dirty surface and thus you have to clean it :( I wish they made a built-in separate case just like the other pact I had. I bought this for almost Php 600 (I'm not quite sure) at local face Shop stores.

I hope tomorrow would be less stressful. Enjoy your Thursday night :)

Shine Keeper: Skin Food Green Grape Fresh Light Pact

Oily skin can be a curse. No matter what you do to keep those oils away, it keeps on coming back :( In times like this, a good powder pact is needed to keep them at bay. Since I wrote on my last powder pact blog that I'll venture on different pacts, on top of my lists to try is the Skin Food Green Grape Fresh Light Pact.

photo taken at www.theskinfood.com

This lightweight pact containing green grape extract creates a natural-looking, clear skin tone, with its fine, soft particles made using air jet mill technology.

My say:
Performance: 4/5 stars
Packaging: 5/5 stars
Pricing: 4/5 stars

This is a great powder for touch ups. It's very light thus doesn't cake up and gives a smooth finish :) No oily skin for almost 4 hours which is fine with me since I do touch ups after lunch and before going home. I used this after my bb cream and I have no worries if it will cake up since it's very light and the color perfectly match with my bb cream that it naturally blends well with it. I got #21 and I have a fair-to-medium skintone. In times I don't wear my bb cream (especially when I'm late), I noticed that it helps a bit in hiding my pores. It smells a bit of grape scent and more of that citrus scent. Amazing compact case! It doesn't break easily. I read on cacaopack that the case is very durable. I tried to toss and throw it around and dropped it for like 100 times yet the case remain intact :) Nothing broke on the case but I did this when I got to finish up the powder or else I think the powder itself will break. The puff has a separate case which acts like a barrier between the puff and powder. I like this for hygienic purposes. Overall, I love this pact and would definitely recommend this for oily babes like me :) I bought this at around Php 650 and I think its a good buy since it works well! Right now, I'm using a Face Shop pact which I'll review soon. I'll definitely buy this again soon :)

Happy Friday! Take care :)

Review: Skin79 Crystal Finish Pact

Powder pact is very essential in my make-up kit. It's my life-savior in fighting against my overactive sebaceous glands. I'm talking about my oily skin. Who does want to go out with their face shining so much that they look like they applied some oil on their face?!? Not me! Oily skin is a blessing yet a curse :( It's blessing for the mere fact that aging is slower but a curse for always doing some blotting to keep it less shiny. This how powder pact comes to the rescue. Instead of going through a lot of blotting, you can blot like once or twice a day. But then again it depends on the product you are using. Good thing I met, Skin79 Crystal Finish Pact.

photo taken at : www.baybeemax.com

This product creates attractive skin to shine like crystal by variegated color's beam reflection effect that glitters magnificently according to reflection of light. This product is called a powder compact to provide natural make up more perfectly. It contains sebum control powder which feel like veil on your face, and gives skin a natural , sheer look all day. It contains vitamin E derivative and allantion ingredients which make skin more moist and shining like being with water. (www.baybeemax.com)

My say:
Performance: 4/5 stars
Packaging: 5/5 stars
Price: 4/5 stars

This is my second venture on Korean brand powder pact. What made me decide to buy this is because it can help to control sebum. This is my main problem and I'm happy to say that this help in keeping my oily skin at bay. Though I wouldn't consider this as a fantastic pact but then again it's still able to do it's job. I would consider it as an above-average powder pact. II blot like twice a day (noon and afternoon before going home). I did not have any bad reaction on this product. No break out nor irritations :) I like the packaging of the product. I always want to have my puff in a separate container. Hygiene! The product looks sophisticated since it's made in metal case. It's small yet bulky. But I can managed it :) I bought this at around Php600. So I think the price was good since it's a good product also ;) Overall, I'm happy with it :) Though I'm not yet thinking of buying it again since I want to try other powder pact from other brands. But this will still be on my list for fave powder pacts.

Tomorrow will be the middle of the week. Time flies by so fast. Enjoy the rest of the day/week :)

Take care guys!

Review: Beauty Credit Lovely Powder Pact Moist

I'm very particular when it comes to products that can help diminish or perhaps lessen the oiliness in my face. Yes I do have an oily face, V-E-R-Y oily! I should be happy since they say that oily skin are slow-to-aged :) But then again who wants to flaunt their face shining and seems an egg is ready to be cooked on it?!? I don't want that! I want at least a matte face. That's what is in my mind when I met Beauty Credit Lovely Powder Pact.
http://beautycredit.co.kr

I learned about their products during the BOF fever. Koo Hye Sun, the actress who played the role of Guem Jandi, is the endorser of this cosmetic brand. Since I have tried some Korean products and they were good, I giddily search on the internet about this. I saw this powder pact in it and it comes in two variants: Matt and Moist. Since I have oily skin, obviously I need the Matt one.

My say:
Performance: 1/5 stars
Packaging: 4/5 stars
Price: 4/5 stars

I was happy when this brand was introduced at the local Watsons. I always thought of buying this because it was really cheap compare to Skinfood (around Php 600). So me without thinking twice asked the SA to what powder pact suits me (eventhough I know what suits me well ). Before she gave me any recommendation she wanted me to try the product first before buying it. So I said yes and I had a free make over :) I was happy how the foundation and powder she used came out so I then bought the powder pact she used on me. I don't really used foundation so I didn't bought it. When I got at home I was so pissed at myself cause I got the wrong product. Well not exactly the product rather the variant. Instead of getting the Matt one I got the Moist one. So the next day I hurriedly went there and asked for an exchanged. Sadly, the Matt one was not yet available here. I felt sad but then if this is what she used on me on that day perhaps it will come out good on me. But sad to say this is totally not for oily skin. There is no way I'm using this. I end up giving this away :( I felt bad that I just wasted my money on something that wasn't fit for me in the first place. Though the packaging is cute and great but then again I wish it was the Matt one.

I haven't gone to their counter/booth in Watsons since I'm using another brand which I like :) I don't know if it is already available now. I haven't really look at their other products. I might try their body products. Perhaps a body wash or scrub. I think I should drop by and see if their Matt one is already available.

Any product to try in this brand? Share!
